HOPE PRINT, 1st printing

Hope Print

Issued in June 2011, the first 500 copy printing of this 11 by 17 inch signed print is now available. Famed artist Steve Rude has created his vision of the Greek legend of Pandora, who has opened a box she shouldn't have, releasing a horde of Troubles, and one shining spirit, Hope. Excerpts from a famous poem about hope by Emily Dickinson and a retelling of the Pandora myth by Nathaniel Hawthorne are lettered in graceful calligraphy by me to complete the design. The print is on cream-colored Wausau cardstock paper, printed in black, and highlighted with pale yellow watercolor, each hand-painted. Steve and I have individually signed each print. My price is $20 plus shipping. $2 from each print sold will be donated to the American Red Cross in an effort to offer a small amount of real hope to a few. The print will be placed in a protective plastic sleeve and mailed in a sturdy mailing tube. A detailed description of the creation of the print on my blog begins HERE.
